In Oost-Maarland (near Maastricht) Van Oys – Maastricht Retreat will open in Q1, 2025. Here, on the banks of the Maas river, a 5-star hotel is currently being realised, set to become a culinary hotspot that prioritises an unparalleled guest experience.

What do we expect from you

  • Your role encompasses a variety of tasks, no day will be the same

  • You are responsible for the planning and organisation of Meetings & Events

  • You provide basic technical support to guests in conference rooms

  • You collaborate with the Food & Beverage Team to deliver exceptional service to both corporate and leisure groups

  • You are operationally responsible for coordinating internal events

  • You are the point of contact for guests during these events and ensure their needs are met from A to Z

  • You act as the liaison between various departments such as Kitchen, Service and Sales

  • You oversee the team of banqueting staff and F&B hosts;

  • You are responsible for drafting SOPs (standard operating procedures) to ensure consistency, efficiency and quality

  • You are in charge of quality control during events and evaluate afterwards to further refine future events

Who are we looking for

  • You have successfully completed a degree in Event Management/F&B Management or Hotel Management

  • You are an enthusiastic personality with a positive demeanour

  • You posses a ´helicopter view´ to maintain an overview during various events, enabling effective coordination

  • You have a proactive attitude and can multitask and prioritise effectively

  • Flexibility is important; you certainly don´t have a nine-to-five mentality and working weekends is not unusual

  • You demonstrate an approachable attitude towards guests and maintain a well-groomed appearance

  • Out-of-the-box thinking is not unfamiliar to you and your working style is solution-oriented

  • You are knowledgeable about proper (classic) service and set a good example

  • You have strong empathetic skills and professional communication abilities

  • You can function as a team player but are also not hesitant to take responsibility independently

  • You work with precision, structure and have an eye for detail

  • You have excellent proficiency in both Dutch and English, knowledge of French and/or German is a significant asset
